Wandering in the footsteps of 19th century transcendental writers, photographer Suzanne Révy crafted A Murmur in the Trees, a visual and spiritual contemplation on the changing landscape of historic Concord, Massachusetts. Picturing each season, her selectively focused multiple panel photographs echo with memory and myth; their resonance extended through evocative fragments of writing by Henry David Thoreau and the unveiling of fold-out pages designed by Caleb Cain Marcus. A Murmur in the Trees invites readers to experience the remarkable colors and textures of nature through reverent, whispering images and an illuminating accompanying essay by writer, poet and Thoreau scholar Kristen Case.
Suzanne Révy is a photographer, writer and educator. A morning person, she reveres the sunrise and changing light of each season.
